Graham had his surgery this a.m. at Lutheran. We feel so blessed to have Lutheran for all his procedures -- it also helps that my Mom is a nurse on the surgery team there. She just "pops" in from time to time - in the pre-op area, in the recovery room when my little buddy is all upset and can't have his momma, in the post-op area after we've been there 2 hours and his IV needs to come out so we can go home. Yes, she's everywhere. Like our little Guardian Angel.
But Graham came through the surgery well. Dr. Young said he got all the adenoids out and removed sinus build-up, mucus, etc. and sent in to culture. NOW we're on an extended dose of high antibiotics, and we just wait.
Poor little buddy woke up very sore- but they gave him some IV pain medicine and he conked out for 2 hours in the post-op area on me until we got discharged. We got home about 11, he ate a few bites and had a few sips and has been PEACEFULLY sleeping in his crib since 12. That is a RARITY around here. And after the horrid night we had last night, his daddy and I slept most of it too!
Hoping this will be the answer for our little man!
