Yesterday, we saw an Immune Specialist at Blank. I was VERY impressed with him. He has three big suspicions about things that could be going on with Graham- ranging from a mucus membrane movement disorder (lining of mucus doesn't move out infection correctly) to an immune deficiency. He did a lot of bloodwork yesterday. Has us scheduled for MORE tests next week. Sent a lot of stuff into Mayo to be analyzed. And we wait. He was so kind and thorough and said he genuinely wants to make Graham feel better. And that if he can't- he'll send us to someone who can. He also told me what a great pediatrician he thinks Dr. White is- which we already knew but nice to hear someone as smart as him echo our praises.
Then today G had his 15-month shots at Dr. White's office. He loves her. He is so darned good at the dr- because he is so used to it. Shots barely make him cry. He had blood drawn out of both arms yesterday and didn't even shed a tear- he's one tough cookie. Dr. White said today "you are WAY too used to this buddy" when she was examining him and he was lying there cool as a cucumber! The great news- my little buddy is growing like a weed- despite all he has going on! He's 25 lbs today at his 15 month- that is 60th percentile. And he's 32 1/2 inches- which is almost 90th percentile! He seems so tall to me lately too....
He is reasonably healthy, for him, right now. But, we just finished the high powered antibiotics this a.m.- so it could just be too soon to tell. I am so hopeful that the sinus surgery was the answer and all this other stuff is just precautionary- but either way....we're just glad to be getting to the bottom of it!
Tomorrow I'm heading south for work....if the weather is okay. Daddy will be with Graham. Otherwise, we don't have much planned this weekend. Hopefully all of us can get some REST!
