Doing Well

We saw Graham's new GI specialist on Friday and that went very well. He had some things for us to try, including a daily milk of magnesia regimine to try and keep him unconsipated. He also advised us to give him more solids, since frankly the kid doesn't much care for his milk- he still takes just a few ounces at a feeding and is thoroughly uninterested. He's been eating oatmeal and prunes before bed for a month or more. But this weekend we've added oatmeal and prunes in the morning and green beans for lunch- he LOVES eating off a spoon. Seems to make him happier to get fed that way too.

He also thought our decision to get him out of daycare was a good one- that the more time he spends crying (a lot at his last daycare) the more air he swallows and the more aggitated his reflux becomes, thus more soreness. He increased his antacid dose as well.

SO- after the appointment Graham had his first day at Stacie's- his new babysitter- and it went amazingly well. He slept well for her and was a happy boy when we picked him up. Her two kids loved him, none of us could be more pleased with the situation. Graham's been happy as could be all weekend- a WELCOME switch. When he was in daycare, he spent evenings and weekends just melting down and upset. We really think it's been a positive change for the better.

Saturday morning, we got Graham's 6 month pictures taken with my brother's kids. They did newborn photos of Drew and we did some of all three boys- Dylan, Graham and Drew- together. Very excited to see how those turned out.

Here are some HAPPY BOY photos from the weekend!

This is true, what the doc says. I remember now that things improved with the addition of foods for Anna, instead of just milk. Also, that crying would make things worse. Actually, that's still true today for Anna. She struggles with her reflux after a bout of emotion.

So glad for you, that you seem to have some answers!!
